Cascade Designs Inc.At Cascade Designs, Inc. I was a manufacturing engineering intern for the Platypus, SealLine, Varilite and some MSR lines. My main responsibilities were to support the manufacturing engineers by repairing equipment, replacing components to optomize the equipment and design fixtures to ease manufacturing as well as write work instructions for each process. During this internship I learned a lot about plastic sealing techniques and stamping, for instance RF welding, sonic welding and hot stamping. This experience is also a constant reminder that whatever is designed will eventually need to be manufactured and a good idea may be useless if it can't be manufactured.
